Ultimate Boot CD for Windows (UBCD4Win)
UBCD4Win is a bootable recovery CD that contains software used for repairing, restoring, or diagnosing almost any computer problem. Its goal is to be the most complete and easy to use free computer diagnostic tool. Almost all software included in UBCD4Win are freeware utilities for Windows.
A list of tools included on the cd: http://www.ubcd4win.com/contents.htm
I found this bootcd useful for removing virusses and spyware from pc’s that were not able to boot anymore due to infections. With UBCD4Win it is possible to prepare a cd with the most recent signature files from multiple antivirus and spyware protection packages, boot into it, and scan and remove these malware infections.

Some links for those in need of the good old bootable floppydisks:

Some problems I ran into while using ubcd4win:
After having set all parameters and after continuing to prepare the ISO file, the process completes without any errors or warnings. No ISO file seems to be created however. The UBCD4WinBuilder.log file displays the following error:
5716 init_cheap: Couldn’t reserve 3600084 bytes of space for cygwin’s heap, Win32 error 487
For those not running Symantec endpoint protection this problem can be fixed by replacing the cygwin1.dll file in the C:\UBCD4Win\temp folder with the latest one, which can be downloaded from the following resources:

If you are running Symantec endpoint protection then you’re doomed and will have to wait for the next ubcd4win release because there seems to be some conflict between those 2 pieces of software (cfr here and here
