IPCSuite (iPhone PC Suite)

Recently I was looking for an application which allows an iPhone user to send SMS messages from his PC through his iPhone.  I came across iPhone PC Suite. This is a free application which allows you to manage a variety of iphone features such as installed applications, media, messages,…

The latest version available at the time of writing is version 2.3.1.86. Admitting that I cannot get the version working myself, I thought i’d share it with others should you want to give it a try.

Got it worked on my pc (windows 7).

The prev versions (2.1.0.78) worked only on XP.

Do not forget to change the language i.e. from chinese to english.

The option is there in the Ribbon Menu (upper right corner)

I don’t get it working on XP. I’m using version 2.3.1.86 and get the following error message when running the application after installing it:

“iPhone PC Suite has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.”

A file RuntimeError.log is created in the application directory containing the following error messages:

Code : 0×0003\n\r\n\r\n\r—————————————————————————————\n\r\n\r10/03/2009 10:43 PM Excption\n\r\n\r—————————– The Frmaework version is not support, please update your framework or restart setup .NET framework\n\rPlease get a new runtime support to website http://www.maxtocode.com/FrameworkSupport.html\n\rError Code : 0×0003\n\r\n\r\n\r—————————————————————————————\n\r\n\r

I do have the latest .net installed so that doesn’t appear to be the problem. Googling this error, it appears alot of other people (mostly chinese) seem to have this problem.

I recently found this on the official ipcsuite forum. Didn’t try it out myself though:
